background vocals for various artists in 1998 -1999, in the year
2000, Taylor obtained national recognition as lead vocalist on the
"Born Again" gospel-recording label and project titled, "If You're Gonna Worry Don't Pray" with Denver A. Wright & the Collective
featuring Tony Terry. After touring with the group four years,
William Taylor released his freshman Compact Disc "Blessfully

"Garment Records" label. Later in 2004 and 2006, the North
Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild (NCGAG) honoree received a
nomination for male vocalist of the year along with landing a role
as "Pastor Duall" in the stage play, "Strong Woman".
Ushering in a
new year, the "Calling Your Name" DVD was birthed and Taylor was
cast as "Grand Pa Paul" in the hit stage play, "Spare the Rod
Spoil the Child". It was directed by James A. House and featured
such actors and artists as, Regina McCrary from Tyler Perry's
"Diary of a Mad Black Woman" motion picture, classical pianist
Dana Joi Morgan and Melvin Williams of The legendary Williams
Brothers. The summer of 2007 was devoted to performing for the
Troops from the Military Academy at West Point, NY, to Fort
Campbell, Kentucky.
The rapid paste of developments continues for
Taylor on a path of service as he prepares to record live in
Fairbanks Alaska alongside his good friend Gospel Artists Min.Norris Garner, Isaiah
D. Thomas, Dr. Clarence Eggleton and John Tillery. He was
accompanied by the "Together We Stand Workshop Choir" and the
charge were to benefit the Fairbanks Rescue Mission. Setting the
tone for 2008, he appeared in the stage drama, "From Birmingham to
Memphis" and in May of 2009, Taylor received the Male Vocalist of
the Year Award from the NCGAG. Currently William Taylor is
recording his sophomore inspiration "L.A.M.B. FOOD".
Qualified to bear witness,
Taylor was healed from Bells Palsy (Facial Paralysis) by the
miraculous power of having faith and trusting God at His word.
Taylor said, "While looking in the mirror at my affliction I
began to pray and talk to God. Lord if this is your will for me
I'm going to accept it now. I am going to surrender and allow
you to bear my burdens for me. And just like Jesus left the
tomb in three days, in three days the paralysis left my body".
William's prayer today is he
hopes believing in the power of God will encourage you to have
faith in your life. His testimony is evident by simple
observation and clearly in his spirit as he delivers his
message in song. Taylor is making a mark in the music industry
with what has been described as a "Healing and Soothing Gift". |
