A glimpse of William Taylor

William Taylor

Biography
Cultivating and nurturing a musical and acting career for the past twelve years has developed into a promising future for William Taylor. Growing up in a small southern town in (Angier) North Carolina, Taylor has gone on to accomplish singing commercial jingles for Wizpro Creative Services which point to Radio One programming and the ABC Radio Network. While contributing background vocals for various artists in 1998 -1999, in the year 2000, Taylor obtained national recognition as lead vocalist on the "Born Again" gospel-recording label and project titled, "If You're Gonna Worry Don't Pray" with Denver A. Wright & the Collective featuring Tony Terry. After touring with the group four years, William Taylor released his freshman Compact Disc "Blessfully Yours" on the "Garment Records" label. Later in 2004 and 2006, the North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild (NCGAG) honoree received a nomination for male vocalist of the year along with landing a role as "Pastor Duall" in the stage play, "Strong Woman".

Ushering in a new year, the "Calling Your Name" DVD was birthed and Taylor was cast as "Grand Pa Paul" in the hit stage play, "Spare the Rod Spoil the Child". It was directed by James A. House and featured such actors and artists as, Regina McCrary from Tyler Perry's "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" motion picture, classical pianist Dana Joi Morgan and Melvin Williams of The legendary Williams Brothers. The summer of 2007 was devoted to performing for the Troops from the Military Academy at West Point, NY, to Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

The rapid paste of developments continues for Taylor on a path of service as he prepares to record live in Fairbanks Alaska alongside his good friend Gospel Artists Min.Norris Garner, Isaiah D. Thomas, Dr. Clarence Eggleton and John Tillery. He was accompanied by the "Together We Stand Workshop Choir" and the charge were to benefit the Fairbanks Rescue Mission. Setting the tone for 2008, he appeared in the stage drama, "From Birmingham to Memphis" and in May of 2009, Taylor received the Male Vocalist of the Year Award from the NCGAG. Currently William Taylor is recording his sophomore inspiration "L.A.M.B. FOOD".

Qualified to bear witness, Taylor was healed from Bells Palsy (Facial Paralysis) by the miraculous power of having faith and trusting God at His word. Taylor said, "While looking in the mirror at my affliction I began to pray and talk to God. Lord if this is your will for me I'm going to accept it now. I am going to surrender and allow you to bear my burdens for me. And just like Jesus left the tomb in three days, in three days the paralysis left my body".

William's prayer today is he hopes believing in the power of God will encourage you to have faith in your life. His testimony is evident by simple observation and clearly in his spirit as he delivers his message in song. Taylor is making a mark in the music industry with what has been described as a "Healing and Soothing Gift".

Blessfully Yours:

In the "Blessfully Yours" project from William Taylor, it is unmistakably apparent the first statement on this one sheet reflects what you hear on this compact disc. It simply says the lyrical messages written will allow you to hear and feel the conviction that personifies this ministry.

This freshman project contains contemporary and traditional selections featuring a voice recognized (The Sam Cooke of Today's Gospel) by many gospel fans. It contains several songs written by Taylor including the title song "Blessfully Yours", as well as "Unity Divine" and "Will You Come" (The Altar Call). "Heaven", collaboration with songwriter, Cornell Cutts and
songwriter/producer/artist Denver A. Wright and Taylor's recording of "Touch the Hem of His Garment" is a favorite of his many fans.

"This CD shows my full range of gospel styles", said Taylor. Some of the songs like "Near the Cross" and "Glory of the Lord" are traditional praise-and-worship hymns, while "Calling your Name", "I won't make a Move" and "Blessfully Yours" will ease your mind into a peaceful state of calmness. Taylor's rendition of the inspirational "Signed, Sealed, and Delivered" will inspire and "Can't get Enough" will lift your spirit. "I want my songs to affect people in a careful and considerate way but most of all, I want to awaken praise and soul-searching in people", said Taylor in a recent interview. Each song has its own message and testimony that will allow you to search yourself through the lyrical experience.
